Frequently asked questions

How do I get my login details and an email account?

You will receive your KU log in details via email, to the email address you provided in your job application. This email is auto-generated by our IT system and you will receive it a maximum of seven days before your official start date.

How do I get an ID card?

You will be issued with an ID card on your first day at the University, and you should ensure you have it with you at all times while on University premises. Your ID card will also give you access to the libraries, enabling you to borrow books and DVDs.

Can I update my personal details online?

You can view and amend personal details and access your payslips using our self-service HR system called Unified, which is available through the University intranet. There are a number of other self-service functions available in Unified, such as requesting annual leave, expenses and running public reports.

When will I be paid?

Staff are paid no later than the 26th of each month. Payslips are available through our self-service HR system called Unified, which is available through the University intranet.
