About

I completed my undergraduate degree in Pharmacy in 2001 at Aleppo University in Syria. Following this, In 2004 I joined the University of Paris-Sud in France where I obtained  Master(I and II) and PhD degrees in Pharmaceutical technology and Biopharmacy. In 2011 I was appointed as lecturer in Pharmaceutics at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Baath University in Syria where I led and taught pharmaceutics and biopharmcy modules and supervised undergraduate and master students.I then went on to become the Head of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmacy Department. In 2015, I joined the School of Pharmacy at Kingston Universityas research fellow and then as a lecturer in clinical pharmaceutics. My research activities focus on the design and development of new solid dosage forms for oral delivery. I am also interested in the development of colonic delivery systems based on chemically modified polysaccharides and in the solubility enhancement of poorly soluble drugs.
