Each year, the University welcomes around 200 students from European partner universities, either through a new agreement (utilising the UK's 'third country' status since leaving the European Union) or a European exchange agreement.

Currently, Kingston has over 130 exchange agreements with European universities, where nominated students can spend a semester or year here, the length of study dependent upon each actual agreement.

These agreements are intentionally subject specific. So if you are studying business management at your home institution, then you could potentially study it at Kingston as long as there is an agreement between the two relevant departments. However, if you wish to study a subject at Kingston which isn't part of the agreement, then you may do through our Study Abroad Programme.

Erasmus+/European exchange students

Spending time at Kingston Universityas part of your degree offers lots of benefits, including the chance to:

• meet new people;
• learn a new language or improve your current language skills; and
• show employers you're flexible and able to take on a challenge.

Erasmus+/European exchange students take the same modules and (usually) the same assessments as Kingston students*. This means you integrate fully with student life at the University. Find out about more from the links on the left or above.

English Language Requirements

It is assumed that when Erasmus/European Exchange students are nominated by their home university, this is on the basis of being sufficiently competent in English at level B2 of the .
